Turning off "Referrals" for myself here ?

When I check my own profile :

I see this information : Referrals:1
But I don't have any interest in spaming other boards to tell people to go and subscribe to the official vB boards, so I would like the referral information to be hidden/disabled for my profile here, I won't use it and so I don't like seeing it in my own profile.

Weird... I was thinking of the same thing about my own profile this morning. I know I never referred anybody to this site with my referral link.

Oups, this is a bug, some few times ago the link was referring to my profile. Well MUG found another link that seems to work better. Maybee you should provide such kind of good links when names appear on the forum index page instead of unpredictable links.

So, about the topic, Cary seems to agree with me.
I don't even know who decided to refer from me !
Why should I be concerned about such an information in my profile (meaning, the number of referrals) as it is not a feature I will use when asking friends to visit the current boards ?
Maybee it is interresting for other profiles, but not for mine, so that would be a nice idea to be able to turn it off inside our own user control pannel.
